A telemedicine appointment at Hazba Medical Center is a full consultation with a licensed Jamaican physician by video or phone — from your home, your office, or anywhere in the world. Thirty unhurried minutes of real medical care, no waiting room required. What telemedicine handles well: General check-ups and "is this something I should worry about?" conversations Follow-up visits — reviewing how treatment is going without another trip in Test results explained — your lab work or imaging walked through in plain language Prescription needs — new prescriptions and refills where clinically appropriate Cold, flu, infections, rashes (show the camera!), stomach issues, and everyday illness Chronic condition management — blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, thyroid check-ins Mental wellness conversations and counselling referrals What your appointment includes: A 30-minute video or phone consultation with a licensed physician Diagnosis and a clear treatment plan where appropriate Prescriptions sent for pharmacy pickup where clinically suitable Orders and referrals for any testing you need — lab work and ultrasound at our Falmouth clinic, or referral for X-ray, CT, or MRI at an appropriate facility A follow-up plan — and if you need to be seen in person, your telemedicine notes are already in our system Who uses our telemedicine most: Jamaicans abroad — diaspora patients in the US, UK, and Canada keeping a doctor "back home," often coordinating care for parents here too Patients far from Falmouth — quality care without the drive from Kingston, MoBay, or anywhere on the island Busy people and parents — seen from the sofa during nap time Follow-up patients — why drive an hour for a ten-minute "all looks good"?
